According to communist writers and thinkers, the goal of communism is to create a stateless, classless society. Supposedly this can happen if the people take away the power of the bourgeoisie (ruling class) and establish proletariat (working class) control of the means of production. How can a classless society control anything of significance? What method of control lacks a hierarchy? Possibly a pure democracy. But a populous pure democracy is hopelessly inefficient and ineffective.
