I do not have access to military intelligence so I don’t know if Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani was actually planning an attack on U.S. forces. However, I do know that if America was not meddling in the affairs of countries in the Middle East and not establishing bases and military personnel in the area they would not be subject to attack. I suggest we pull out of the area and let the feudal war lords and warring religious factions resolve their conflicts without external intervention. The priority of our military budget should be defense — not nation building.
