This is not unique to Texas. Other states have implemented similar requirements justified by supposed election fraud.

This substantiates that the intended vote suppression is working as planned. The 2013 Supreme Court ruling in Shelby County v. Holder gutted key portions of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, which protected eligible voters from discriminatory voting laws. Its time to pass the The Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2019.
