The results in Maine have prompted the legislature to propose using RCV for the POTUS primary and general elections. I agree that RCV has desirable attributes but have concerns about the process of determining the majority vote winner. The 2nd choice on the ballot for the candidate with the least number of 1st choice votes should not have equal weight to the 1st choice. As currently implemented, in rare instances the most favored candidate does not win the election majority.
