“Our current political system cannot succeed alongside the Internet.”

There are some valid points in this article but the conclusion is invalid. Even before the internet there were reliable and unreliable economic and political sources. It is incumbent on the reader to determine the validity of the sources and act accordingly.

Unfortunately, too many people “share” social media posts without first evaluating their content. I suspect some people share posts to gain recognition similar to news reporters being first to publish a “breaking” story. I use the internet to read and evaluate numerous posts and articles but only rely on credible sources.
