"Well, to begin with we can continue to exert pressure on Democrats in both the House and the Senate to push ahead on voting rights legislation, including the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. While that law doesn’t go as far as some would like, it has a better chance of passing than the more ambitious For the People Act, especially since Senate Republicans are almost unified in their opposition to the latter and more than willing to use the filibuster to tank it."

Citizens should stop relying on Congress and the Supreme Court to remedy states' rights issues. State residents should hold their state legislators accountable for rights violations by replacing the deplorables.
